DENPASAR (Indonesia), October 7 (RIA Novosti) – Russian President Vladimir Putin briefly met with US Secretary of State John Kerry on the sidelines of an Asian economic forum Monday.
Kerry approached Putin during a photo op at the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) summit. They shook hands and spoke for less than a minute, a RIA Novosti correspondent reported.
US President Barack Obama had canceled his trip to the APEC summit over a budget crisis in his country. Kerry is representing the US at the summit.
